Hi All, This website plots the frequency of Brandricks across the UK today. I'm not sure what information it is based on but geographically it looks about right. I find it hard to believe there are nearly 10000 of us dotted around but I could be very wrong. surname.sofeminine.co.uk/w/surnames/surname-brandrick.htmlCheers, Mark

Well I think the name Brandrick was fairly rare back in the 17-1800's but as medical care and the social factors improve, we tend to live longer and procreation is more successful. In theory, if you assume that each sibling born this year, will have 2 kids in 20 years its easy to see how the population can grow so rapidly. Obviously, there are other real factors to consider such as deaths, those that don't have kids etc, but in real terms give it another 10 years and there could be 20000 Brandricks out there somewhere!
